Christchurch to Singapore

And so, the last day arrive. emotional... 

cant bear to leave this beautiful place. a slow and relaxed place. 

surrounded by beautiful waters and moutains... 

will definetely come back again! :)

Queenstown to Mt Cook to Christchurch

It's the BIG day for my sister today!!! 

She's gg to do her much awaited Bungy Jumping!!! 
Damn scary lor. but she likes it. besides her, there are 3 other guys who are doing the jump too! 
Our tour guide says that this is the first time in her guide that 4 people wanted to do the jump. last time she used to only have 1 per yr. lol... 

After the jump, we pass by a super beautiful lake, Lake Pukaki. 
The water is super super blue! Due to the minerals that are inside the lake. all the lakes are form by Glaciers thousands and thousands of years ago... 

Didnt managed to see the mighty Mount Cook due to all the clouds and bad weather. 
cant take the helicopter ride to see the glacier due to the bad weather too.... 
Went to Lake Tekapo for photo taking also. and then stop by the Church of the Good Sherpherd. 

Last stop to the Salmon farm! feed the fishes and then turn our back, they are on the table. fresh salmon! 
After that it's a long ride to Ashburton. Stayed at their cottage-like hotel. pretty. :)

Queenstown

It's Milford Sound today. 

Almost cant make it here due to fallen stones from the moutains. 

Almost 6 hrs drive in the coach! and then took a 1.5 hr cruise along the Milford Sound. 
No amount of description or photos can do justice to this place. 
U have to really step out from the warm deck into the cold and windy upper open deck to take in all the sceneries! The lake in the middle of so many so many moutains! it's damn beautiful and MAGNIFICANT!

Queenstown

Went for a stroll outside our hotel. 
The lake and mountains are so pretty! Hahaha.... 

Then went for the vintage steamship ride. 
Nth much actually. Just a ship running on steam. LOL. 

Heading towards the farm for our BBQ lunch!!! :) Saw a lot of sheep's around in the farm! 
And the farm was really beautiful with old Victorian style buildings. 

After tt we went up the gondola ride. And then we all went for the luge ride. 
Wasn't really keen but I dunwan to be a wet blanket. 
Well, once was never enough. So we ride up 3 times! 2 times in the advanced track.

And then we saw watch the kiwi haka cultural show. After tt it's free time again. 
Went to hv Fregburger. Such a big and tasty Burger! Had pork belly Burger! LOL. 
Then it's another round of shopping! LOL.

West Coast to Queenstown

4th day out in the kiwi land. Got used to the time difference le. 
Had a good brekky as usual. 

Then did a little shopping at the souvenirs shop. 

On our way to the thunder creek waterfall, we stop by the Tasman lookout. Damn beautiful la! 
And then it's another long ride to the thunder creek waterfall. 
So near yet so far. LOL. 

Took a pic of the downstream gushing of water! :) the beauty of nature. 

Got to the highest of Hasst pass. And then threw is this fish river. Deep Down. 
As to y it's call the fish river, nobody knows. LOL. Probably only fine fish gets down there. 

Reached lake wanaka and according to the guide, 
these r all glaciers water that r left behind by the glaciers. Really really beautiful. 
And then there is this lake Hawea too. Glaciers water as well. :) Woohoo!!! 

Jetboating is so damn nice and exciting! was initially quite scared. 

But after tt it's really damn fun! LOL. Well... wasn't successful in gold mining. Hahaha... who would leh? Back to our hotel and then we went for Korean dinner. Yummy! After tt it's free and easy at queenstown. 

Guess we are used to the dark sky means late theory in Singapore. 
So we walked and shop around with our new friends, Ken and Wendy. 
Ate expensive chocolates and drink my Starbucks green tea latte. 
Also managed to eat and buy cookies from cookie time. Super nice!

Christchurch to West Coast

2nd day! Or should I say the 3rd day out in this kiwi land. 
Had a nice sleep in the hotel. Guess we r all too tired. 

Took the Tranz Alpine train ride to the Authur pass. Had a little crop us coz me and my sis were both locked away in another Cabin. So the 2 of us stood in the open carriage for almost 1hr! 
Before we finally gave in and went to the toilet. So much warmer! But the scene was really really nice. But super cold! Put on scarf and hat. Hands were all numb! LOL. 

Then we went to Hokitika for the jade and glass blowing factory. 
Saw the Tasman sea too. Bought another sweater too. Hahaha. 

Now on the way to the glacier. 

Adeline said tt it's getting cloudy. so we may or may not be able to take the helicopter ride. 
Well, there is always tmr morning. :) Enjoy the scenary ride! :)

Christchurch

Finally after enduring the 9hr flight, greetings from new Zealand! 

Welcome to the land of kiwis. :) 

Tired cos all of us didn't hv a good sleep on the plane. 

Went to the Antartica centre. Had a feel of the Antarctica storm. Cold.... Weather here is 8 degrees. So cold!!! LOL...

Went to the Willowbank Widlife Reserve too. Saw Kiwis! but was kindof dark so unable to take pic. 

Somehow this place reminded me of Perth. :)

Finally it's day both me and my sister have been looking forward to! 

New Zealand time! 

Finally gonna be setting off to the much awaited Land of the Kiwis! 

 But was kind of dreading the long hr flight..

New Zealand Prelude

Had a hard time deciding where to go for our next trip.

Initially had wanted my friends to join in, but i guess they themselves have some considerations about it too.

So me and my sister booked the tour at the August Natas fair. Traveling with CTC travel.

Had a really fun time over there.

Landscapes were really awesome and the people there are so friendly and cheerful.

Saw Snow for the first time, thanks to our bus driver, Ian.

The experience that we have is really life time.

Sister also had her very first bungee jumping in NZ. lol... Was really terrifying for me to just watch her. But if she is happy, I am just fine with it.

Will defintely visit this awesome country again.

South Island now, and the next will be North Island! :)

Taipei to Singapore

Finally, the end of our trip. Today we were given the luxury not to wake up so early. so breakfast is own time own target. After getting dressed up and luggage packed, it's our free and easy time. not easy with my mum and dad lah... hahaha... their first trip mah... 

so we walked around and then off we went to the hotel lobby so stare... hahaha... then it's time for us to board the bullet train! WOO!!! nice and fast! and finally, time to say goodbye liao... really miss and like our tour guide. hugged her and say our byes. 

made a few good friends at the tour. really. shiying. hahaha... we still keep in touch till now... and of course, a memorable one bcos it's our first overseas trip as a family. yes... besides genting pls. hahaha... and i hope more will come!

Hualien to Su-ao to Taiyua to Taiwan

LOVE this hotel!!! cosy room with my sis! on our way back to the mainland now... sian... that means the journey is coming to an end lo.... 

we stop by Jiu Fen. It's time for shopping!!!! Then to the Tian Lu handicraft centre where me and my each bought a little tian lu back. and u know what the master says? he said someone is in love with me but dun dare to express it. hahaha... nope. i dun believe. LOL. 

Went to WuFenPu too where they sell a lot of garments. last stop will be the very famous shilin night market. told u i dun like night market liao le... hahaha...

Taitung to Hualien

Good morning! as we get further away from mainland, the happier i felt! Yes, it's this kind of feelings that I love traveling! 

Gonna be on our way to Qi Xing Tan today. another very famous place. but to us, it's just another sea? LOL. then off we went to the dangerous place, Taroko Gorge. A place i like very much because of it's moutains and it's nature feel. on our way there was a little hiccups cos there were falling stones from the moutains and of course, the many many travel buses. U can guess who are on all these buses right? yes. PRCs. but luckily our tour guide had other plans for us so we are not gonna follow their trails and fight with them for camwhore. LOL. 

had a little food over there and then we were on our way to hualien. the place i love! peaceful and there are a lot a lot of hostels over there that are so pretty!!!

Kaosiung to Kenting to Ping Tung to Taitung

We slept early last night so we woke up early today! On our way to see the Diamond factory! 

Okay, tt was only for the rich ppl lah... we just look look see see and out we go lo! 
and then, we are on our way to Kenting! to see their seas and their national park! 

1 thing about the trip is that our tour guide ah zhu is really really nice! she can really really talk! hahaha... and luckily we are all seated behind so she cant really see us sleeping. but then again, we kind of feel bad lah. heee... 

last stop is at the Fu'an temple. then we were all back to our hotel, where we all had a good suana!!!! heee... nice and fun suana! hahaha... cos i do it with my sis... :)

and i got to mention this, this place is seriously a paradise!!!! Love the padifield and the mountains. Cycling around the place is a total BLISS!!!

Nantou to Kaoshiung

A night of coldness... cant sleep properly at all lor... and the room was so big. so was kindof a little scary. hahaha... 

So we woke up early to take pictures of the daisy flowers outside our room. Woke up to a nice views like tt... So, today it's gonna be a meh meh day!!! sheeps sheeps running aroung and after us because we have their FOOD! 

I was really damn scared. and a little OCD. cant stand my hands being licked by these meh meh saliva! hahaha... so i took pictures for my family lor. 

after that we went to the small Swiss Garden. shopping time again lo!!!! it's a long long trip again back to the land and we went to another night market- Lao He night market. Had dinner there and walked around. 
Dun really like night market. food everywhere but i just dun like night markets.

Taichung to Nantou

Had a good sleep in the hotel. Rise and shine today and we are all ready for a trip down to the Sun Moon Lake! Heard of its famous name everywhere so we were actually excited to see the lake. 

And it's not a disappointment at all! the lake was really nice with the blue pond. camwhore everywhere possible. hahaaha... Mum is sepcially excited. Everytime me and my sis took pic, she will come running towards us, wanting her face in all the photos too! hahaha... 

the Wenwu temple is actually right in front of the lake. Nth much actually, just simple praying and some sovenirs bah. 

Next up we went to the Aboriginal cultural village. Not interested in all that. I am only interested in their LAVENDER field! LOL... after a day spent on the lake and flowers, it's a long ride up to our accommodation high up in the moutain- Ching jing farm at Nantou. 

Cold and windy. I like it the best! :)

Singapore to Taoyuan to Taichung

First family overseas trip! Mum and Dad! 
had a tough time persuading my ah pa! hahaha... u wouldnt want to know the process... phew! 

so, after we touched down, off we go to 101 tower! to makan! then at night we all went to the Feng Jia night market. 
well, first night market so a bit new for us. but somehow similar to our pasar malam here. 

bought lots of food back to our hotel which we regretted lah! too FULL and too OILY! 
but anw, i am satisfied with my Aiyu drink! :)
