Adelaide Day 2

26/03/13 (Tues)

Barossa & Hahndorf Wine Experience

Rise and shine!

We didnt want to miss our bus so we went to the central bus station to have our breakfast.

then we set off in a small group to the Barossa Valley for some wine tasting at the famous Jacobs Creek Winery. had about 7 glasses?! red wines is really not my liking...

after that we went to the Mengler Hill Lookout to have a view of the whole valley.
somehow it's similar to Perth but the color is just not right. lol... guess it's the season...

After that, it's another round of tasting at the Saltram Wine Estate in Angaston. Really had too much wine in a day, so i pour away the red wines after a few sips.

finally, it's lunch. i need some food to keep me away from getting too tipsy.

I had my roasted chicken while sis had her favourite German sausages. The food there really taste nice and it's immersed in so much smashed potatoes. It's either we eat too slow or the ppl there just eat too fast.

Drop by at the Herbig Family Tree in Springton. Apparently this family lived under the tree for many many years with 6 children! Cant imagine that....

We had a little free time at Hahndorf, Auss oldest German settlements.

Bought souvenirs and tasted some of their food.

The highlight of the whole trip i must say, is the Koala Spotting!

Optional tour from our guide. Amazing to see these cute animals out in the wild instead of seeing them in the wildlife park.

Cute creatures hugging on the tree, sleeping and spending their relaxed lives up on the top of the tree. Envious.

Westerners are the friendliest i must say. 2 days out in their land and i dun feel any slightest outcast. Warm and friendly. If only Asians are half like them.
